Dr Jenny Harries, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England, has advised that in order to avoid getting or spreading Covid-19 mixing with friends and others outside your household in a small environment like a pub would “not be a good” idea.

The comments would suggest that the Government may be considering allowing pubs to open but statements like this would mean that many customers would still stay away leaving many pubs with no option but to remain closed, possibly without government support.

Boris Johnson will be laying out the Governments plans to end the lock down in a statement later this week, lets hope that everything will become clearer.
