With everyone talking about the reopening of the UK, Michael Gove has dealt a blow to our pubs by stating that the hospitality sector will be one of the last to come out of lockdown.

In addition the British Beer & Pub Association has suggested that many pubs will need around three to four weeks notice before reopening to allow staff and equipment to be ready for opening.

“It is extremely important that the beer and pub industry are closely consulted on the lifting of the lockdown restrictions when the COVID-19 crisis is over. The reopening process for the pub trade will be enormously hard and it’s imperative the Government work with the trade to get it right, else the situation would see even more pubs close”
